SPIRIT OF WSG AWARD
To celebrate the 10 years the Wyoming Sportsman’s Group has been in existence, we have created a Spirit of Wyoming Sportsman’s Group Award to recognize individuals and/or groups who embody our mission of conservation and the development of fishing, hunting, and shooting sports.
For our inaugural award we have chosen a lady who spent decades in Campbell County as a 4H agent, 4H Shooting Sports leader and as a volunteer Hunter Education instructor. Her energy and commitment positively influenced hundreds of kids to learn how to respect and appreciate the outdoors.
Please join us in honoring Connie Scigliano as the recipient of the 2024 Spirit of the Wyoming Sportsman’s Group Award.
Sadly, one year ago we lost Connie. To accept the award on behalf of Connie, is her husband Bruce Scigliano and numerous family members.

The Wyoming Sportsman’s Group is proud to recognize Bob Maul as the recipient of this year’s WSG Spirit Award for his unwavering dedication to outdoor education, conservation, and community service.
With over 43 years as a Hunter Education Instructor, Bob has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of ethical hunters and responsible outdoorsmen. His leadership in the NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge and 4-H Shooting Sports has provided countless youth with the skills and knowledge to safely enjoy hunting and shooting sports.
Beyond his contributions to youth education, Bob’s commitment to his community is evident through his 54 years of service with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Posse, 18 years as a volunteer firefighter, and his tenure as a Campbell County Commissioner from 2017 to 2021. His involvement in numerous boards, committees, and conservation efforts—including serving on the Conservation District Board and as a former RMEF and NRA Life Member—reflects his dedication to preserving Wyoming’s outdoor heritage.
Bob’s passion, leadership, and tireless service embody the true spirit of conservation and mentorship. We are honored to celebrate his impact and legacy with the WSG Spirit Award. Congratulations, Bob!

Jerry and Vicki Wood are honored with the WSG Spirit Award in recognition of their generous spirit and lifelong commitment to serving others. Although Jerry has passed, his legacy of service continues to inspire the work they began together. In retirement, Jerry and Vicki made giving back to the community and the state that supported their family for more than 50 years a central focus. Through partnerships with veteran and youth organizations, they have helped provide meaningful outdoor experiences for special operations veterans and young people facing life-threatening illnesses. These hunting and fishing adventures offer more than recreation—they provide healing, fellowship, and lasting memories for individuals and families navigating difficult journeys. Today, Vicki proudly accepts this honor on behalf of them both, reflecting their shared legacy of quiet service, compassion, and community.
